What is it? Poole Partnership (the Local Strategic Partnership for Poole) is made up of many organisations aiming to achieve long-term improvements to the quality of life for Poole people. The Partnership meets annually. A Steering Group, of approximately twenty five representatives of the Partnership, oversees the development of the work. It involves community, voluntary and faith groups, working together with businesses and the public sector. Nearly 2,500 organisations and local people influenced The Vision for Poole, which sets out the key concerns for the area and its future. Why have it? Poole Partnership wants to actively involve local people and organisations in shaping the future of their town. By working together and through pooling ideas and resources, The Vision for Poole can become a reality. What does it do? Its role is to: - Establish what is important to Poole people in the long-term
- Identify what would improve their quality of life
- Develop an action plan for improvements, the Community Strategy
- Ensure the actions take place and monitor and report progress
This web portal improves communication between the members of the Partnership and the wider community. It is part of the process of developing the Partnership as a real network which is working to make Poole an even better place.
