If you are not happy with any service provided by your GP (Doctor), Dentist or Optician or anything to do with your NHS treatment, you have a right to ask questions and complain if necessary. For advice and queries you can contact the Patient Advice & Liaison Service (PALS). PALS is an accessible and confidential service for patients, relatives and carers.
First you must explain to the GP, Dentist or Optician what you are unhappy about. If you are not satisfied with the answers or decisions, you can complain in writing or by email to Dorset Health Authority. For contact details, please click on the link below.
All complaints should be made as soon as possible as there are time limits for dealing with them.
If you have problems making your complaint your local Citizens Advice Bureau can help.
