How to Guide for contributors to the website The main aims of the Web Portal: - to support the Partnership in working towards the achievement of the Vision for Poole
- to give Poole Partnership an identity and strengthen each organisations' sense of ownership and involvement
- to improve communications between the many organisations who are striving to improve the quality of life for Poole people and enable/encourage working together
- to give the people of Poole improved access to information about local services and organisations and the opportunity to get involved and have their views heard
- to encourage the development of community activity, networks and relationships
Organisations providing information for the Web Portal should ensure that material supports the following principles: - promote a partnership in which all understand each other and wish to work together for the benefit of Poole and those who live, work and visit here
- promotes equality of opportunity for people of all races, ages, disabilities, genders, sexual orientations and faiths
- promotes respect for each other's worth, resources, strengths and limitations
- reflects integrity, objectivity, openess and honesty
- common courtesy to everyone's feelings and opinions should be considered when contributing material
- all information contained on the Web Portal shall be kept up to date and relevant
- the Web Portal is for the use of organisations and shall not be used to promote individuals
- contributors shall ensure that their information is up-dated regularly and out-of-date information removed
