Local Healthwatch will take over the function of the Local Involvement Networks known as LINks which have enabled people to have their say about the quality and development of their local health and adult social care services. The aim now is for Local Healthwatch to build on this to become a Consumer Champion for health and social care providing additional services such as consumer advice and support for people to make health and social care choices and advocacy for making health complaints.
The Borough of Poole is working with Bournemouth Borough Council and Dorset County Council to ensure there will be a smooth transition from LINKs to the Local Healthwatch in April 2013. All three authorities would like you to take part in shaping Local Healthwatch in this area and want to hear your views.
Please find attached discussion documents, which provide information about the consultation and an opportunity for you to have your say on the consultation.
