Leisure Discount Scheme

ACCESS TO LEISURE AND LEARNING

Access to Leisure and Learning (ATL&L) is the Borough of Poole’s leisure discount scheme which offers residents on a low income, disabled or in full-time education (aged 16+) the opportunity to take part in leisure and sporting activities at a reduced rate.

Residents living within the BH postcode area and in receipt of one of a number of benefits such as housing, council tax, incapacity benefits or carers allowance, are able to join the expanding scheme.

In addition, carers, looked-after children and foster families registered with Borough of Poole are also eligible to join and a range of memberships, including those for families and groups, are available.

It’s easy to join the scheme –complete the application form contained within the ATL&L leaflet and take this, together with proof of eligibility, the enrolment fee (only £2.65 for individuals and £4.20 for families) and a passport sized photo to one of the enrolling centres, where you will be issued an ATL&L card, valid for a year.

There are now over 30 venues in and around the Borough supporting the scheme, including all of Poole’s leisure centres, the Lighthouse, Poole Adult Learning Centre, various sports and bowling clubs.  You can also use your card to hire a beach hut, obtain a fishing permit or to ice skate in Poole Park. With such a large range of activities on offer, there will be something for everyone to enjoy with discounts ranging from 10% to 75%.

For further information on venues and for a complete list of eligibility, check out www.boroughofpoole.com or pick up a leaflet.  The application form is included in the leaflet and are available from any of the enrolling centres, participating venues, libraries, benefit offices and job centres. Alternatively, call 01202 261306.
