Charity Status for Purple Teardrop Campaign

The campaign was launched in 2008 by members of Soroptimist International of Poole.  The campaign's objective is primarily to raise awareness among the general public about this modern day form of slavery and particularly that of sexual exploitation of women and girls, also to raise funds for rescued victims.  Since its launch the campaign has raised more than £7k for victim care within the UK.
The Purple Teardrop Campaign and Poole Soroptimists continue to work locally with Dorset Police and Crimestoppers.  The campaign has been taken nationwide to other Soroptimist clubs in the UK and has representation on the UK Human Trafficking Centre National Prevention Advisory Group which is based in Sheffield.
Presentations about the campaign and the facts about human trafficking have been made from London to Torquay and orders for the Purple Teardrop pin badge from Washington, USA.
To book an informative presentation or find out how you can help the campaign contact enquiries@purpleteardrop.org.uk or enquiries@sipoole.org.uk
