To mark International Day to Eliminate Violence Against Women, victims of domestic abuse across the conurbation are being urged to seek support.
There are numerous organisations supporting victims of domestic abuse and their families in Bournemouth and Poole. They offer everything from counselling and emergency accommodation to legal advice and home security checks. A list of these organisations’ contact details is available at the bottom of the page.
Bournemouth and Poole Domestic Abuse Co-ordinator, Lisa Dowry, said: “Domestic abuse is not acceptable and you do not have to suffer it alone. My advice to those experiencing abuse is to get in touch with one or more of these organisations and find out what support they can offer you.”
The International Day to Eliminate Violence Against Women takes place on 25 November and will be celebrated by a number of organisations in Bournemouth and Poole.
