The Place Survey is a statutory survey that all English local authorities are required to undertake every two years.
The survey was sent to 5,500 residents selected at random in Autumn 2008 the results tell us what residnets think about Poole as a place to live in and what needs improving. Poole Partnership will now use the results to help make decisions about important services for people living in Poole.
A total of 2,316 responses to the survey were received.
Residents were also asked what they thought about the performance of local agencies including the council, police, fire, and health services. 87% of residents who responded said they were satisfied with Poole as a place to live.
Place Survey results are published by the Department for Communities and Local Government .
