About this Consultation

Poole Opinion Panel is the council’s biannual residents survey, helping to measure satisfaction with council services and to learn more about the thoughts and views of people living in Poole. The Panel is made up of around 1,600 residents who are representative of the wider local population.

The Spring 2009 survey was distributed to panel members in late April, with a deadline of 22^nd May.

Topics covered in the spring survey include;

Results

Overall, 980 surveys were returned, giving a response rate of 61%.

Headline results include:

75% of respondents were satisfied with the way the Authority runs things.
Residents would like Local Involvement Networks to prioritise access to NHS dentists, improving hospitals and better social care over the next year.
49% of respondents visit the town centre at least once a week. The most popular times are mornings/Saturdays.
25% of respondents use the library service at least once a month.
One third of respondents were aware of the Council's complaints process.
